Design a Poster and you could win a bike!
All primary school children in West Oxfordshire are being invited to enter a road safety poster competition to be in with the chance of winning a brand new bike.
School children are being asked to think about road safety issues that affect them and to design a poster around their chosen theme.
The West Oxfordshire Community Safety Partnership ran the same competition last autumn and had such a great response from local primary schools that the competition is being run again this year. Nine pupils each won a bike with full kit after their poster designs were chosen as the best for raising awareness of road safety issues such as speeding, poor parking near schools, cycling without lights or not wearing a seatbelt.
Pupils are asked to submit their design on A4 paper in colour and hand it in to their class teacher. The closing date is Friday 24 February 2017.
Bikes will be delivered to the children in time for Easter and the winning designs will be reproduced and the posters will be displayed in the schools and local communities.
