Our Vision, Aims and Values
Burford Primary School is an academy within the Oxford Diocesan Schools’ Trust. Our membership of this multi-academy trust began in October 2015. At the heart of this partnership is our vision to provide excellence in education, with all pupils having high aspirations to achieve to their full potential, within a calm and respectful school community.
Our vision 'Burford Best' is underpinned by the values ‘Respect, Aspire, Achieve’. We aim to provide outstanding learning experiences and opportunities for all children at Burford Primary, equipping children with the skills and knowledge to become confident and successful life-long learners, who make a positive contribution to society.
Burford Primary offers a commitment to excellence in education for all children in our care within the community of Burford and our values provide a strong foundation:
- Showing respect for our whole school community
- Having aspirations in all we do
- Considering others so that all can achieve
All staff are dedicated to providing academic rigour, pastoral support and working closely with our families, enabling children to thrive intellectually, socially, culturally and spiritually. Taught within a safe and stimulating environment, the curriculum promotes equality of opportunity, further enhanced by provision of extended hours, outdoor learning and a wide range of extra-curricular activities which inspire pupils to discover new interests and talents, thus preparing them well for the next stage of their education.
